Australia has a huge expanse of vineyard area on the mainland, as well as on the island of Tasmania. Styles vary hugely, with Cabernet Sauvignon in Coonawarra, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir in Victoria, Shiraz in Barossa, Riesling in Eden Valley, Semillon in Hunter Valley, Cabernet and Merlot blends in Margaret River and delicate sparkling in Tassie.
