Spain has a long history of winemaking and is well known for quality and value. Cava, meaning cave or cellar, is Spains answer to Champagne, whilst Rioja, Priorat and Ribera del duero produce premium, full-bodied red wines. Sherry production is based in the south of Spain around the town of Jerez, with styles including Fino, Manzanilla and Pedro Ximinez.
