Overview

• Château Labegorce is a Bordeaux wine estate in the appellation of Margaux. It is situated on the plateau just north of the town, across the road from Château Lascombes, and makes a Cabernet Sauvignon-dominant blend. The original estate dates back to the 14th Century – the name is derived from the original owners, the Grosse family. The property was one of the largest in the Médoc but was divided into three during the French Revolution. The Perrodo family bought Labegorce in 1989 and largely reunified the old estate by buying the château and part of the vineyard of L’Abbé Grosse de Grosse in 2002, and finally Château Labegorce Zédé in 2005.

Tasting Notes

• Château Labegorce 2014 has pure and seductive ruby red with aromas of raspberry and red ginseng – typical of Margaux. Medium-bodied, combined with supple tannins, balanced acidity and sweet oak aroma.
