Overview

  • Château du Tertre is an estate located in Margaux in Bordeaux, France. It was classified as a fifth growth in the 1855 Classification of the Medoc and Graves and its 52 hectares (128 acres) of vineyards have been unchanged ever since. Both the grand vin and second wines are made from a blend of predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon, alongside Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. It is one of the oldest properties in Bordeaux, dating back more than 1000 years.

Tasting Notes:

  • The wine has a distinctive deep purple-red color, along with the rich and complex notes that make the flavor of Château Tertre nostalgic and special. The senses coming from the sense of smell are bright fruit flavors like black mulberry, cherry with mixed spices and herbs. The high tannins with moderate acidity give a perfect finish and diners can also feel the mineral flavor in the wine.
