Overview

• Marqués de Riscal is one of Rioja’s oldest and most famous wine estates. It makes a range of traditional-style Rioja wines made predominantly from Tempranillo, as well as a white wine from Rueda. The company was founded in 1858 by the diplomat Camilo Hurtado de Amézega, the Marqués de Riscal. He had been living in Bordeaux and decided to bring French winemaking techniques back to his estate in Elciego.

Tasting Notes:

• Riscal 2018 wine has a mysterious and seductive purple color with the sweet, fresh aroma of ripe red fruit, chocolate with herbal notes, elegant oak aroma and smooth, balanced tannins.
