Overview

• Merryvale Vineyards is a Napa Valley winery that has been associated with the rise of several well-known names in California winemaking. Situated in the St Helena AVA, Merryvale is best known for familiar Napa varieties including Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Chardonnay. It was built in 1933 by Jack Riorda and several of his business partners and was christened Sunnyhill Winery. In the early 1980s, the winery was bought by Bill Harlan, the founder of one of the earliest cult wineries, Harlan Estate, and in 1991, this place was renamed to Merryvale Vineyards.

Tasting Notes:

• Profile 2011 has a vibrant and attractive ruby red color with aromas of violets and ripe berries such as cherry, raspberry, and strawberry. In addition, the flavor of the wine is also complemented by a number of high-end ingredients such as oak, tobacco and a subtle aroma of vanilla.
