Overview

• Château Mont-Redon is the largest wine producer in Châteauneuf-du-Pape with more consecutive land under the vine than any other wine estate in the region. It produces both red and white wines from the Châteauneuf-du-Pape AOC, as well as wines from estate vineyards in Lirac and in the Côtes du Rhône winemaking zone. Château Mont-Redon owns 186 hectares (460 acres) of land in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, 100ha (247 acres) of which are planted to grapevines. Red grape varieties, including the classic southern Rhône trio of Syrah, Grenache and Mourvèdre, make up 80 percent of plantings, with the remainder planted to white varieties including Viognier, Marsanne and Roussanne.

Tasting Notes:

• Forward and already a pleasure to drink, the wine is all about its kirsch, spicy dark cherry, thyme and earthy core on the nose and palate. Elegantly styled, with plenty of sweet, ripe, red fruits in the finish.
