Overview

• Founded in 1737, the Chateau Le Thil farm was acquired in 2012 by the owners of the neighboring Château Smith Haut Lafitte winery. 11.6 ha of farm vineyards, planted in clayey limestone soil and directed to the south – excellent conditions for the slow ripening of grapes. 8.6 ha planted with Merlot and Cabernet Sauvingnon grapes for red wine production and 3 ha for Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon grapes for white wine. These are excellent value for money wines produced by renowned wine production consultants Stéphane Derenoncourt and Simon Blanchard.

Tasting Notes:

• Le Thil 2016 has a beautiful purple-red color with a characteristic fruity aroma from blackcurrant and berries, with a hint of smoke. A medium-bodied wine combines with tannins and harmonious acidity, creating a balanced and elegant flavor.
