Overview

• Château de Laubade was built in 1870 in the heart of Bas Armagnac and at the same time is Armagnac’s leading winemaker. Not only producing spirits, the factory also produces very good quality red and white wines. Each year on the bottle clearly shows its age, which is a characteristic of Armagnac. Over 80 different vintage varieties mature in the cellar of the Château de Laubade. Today, the oldest vintage is from 1888, each vintage tells a specific story and has its own meaning.

Tasting Notes:

• Château de Laubade 1983 has a clear, deep, coppery amber with a faint green hue. The aroma of floral, almost perfumed notes with green apple and toffee apple ìnluenced fruit cake, dried fruit, passion fruit, maple syrup and cedarwood. Majestic and rich yet fresh and sprightly. Dry spicy leathery oak and sweet stewed fruit with tobacco leaf, vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg spice.
